“And Hagar bear Abram a son, and Abraham called his son’s name, which Hagar bare, Ishmael….”  Genesis 16:15.

Of this son, God had said, “Behold I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly;  twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.”  Genesis 17:20.      “He will be a wild man;  his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him;  and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.”  Genesis 16:10-12. 21:20.21.

Many years later, the descendants of Ishmael heed the voice of the  muezzin as it rings out five times each day from minarets many thousands of miles apart, calling men, women, and children to worship and to pray.

“The call drowns the tinkling bells of Chinese pagodas.  It draws the brown-skinned farmer in Java or Sumatra from his wading in the rice fields.  It booms across the vast sandy reaches of the Sahara, halting the lonely caravans on their march.   It commands alike black men in the deep jungles of Central Africa, yellow men in far-off Mongolia, and the wandering tribes of the Arabian desert.   Yellow, black, brown, white, all the followers of Mohammed are bound into one magic circle of faith by the muezzin’s call.”  Richard’s Encyclopedia. Volume 5 p416.

This is the world of Islam, a word meaning ‘submission’ or ‘obedience to God’, a God by the name of Allah.

As the call echoes through the crowded streets, the people become an army of kneeling forms, all facing Mecca, the holiest city in Islam.

Who Says God has No Son?

Section 3

The God of Islam has a name that means THE GOD. (Al means ‘the’, and Ilah means ‘God’)   As the word ‘God’ can be plural and feminine, Muslims do not use it, for they believe God is ONE, and without gender.     From http://www.cyber.islam.com

Of Allah, Islam says, “God alone is the Almighty, the Creator, the Sovereign, and the Sustainer of everything in the whole universe…. He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing, and the All-Knowing….  His will is above the will of all the creatures.  He has power over all things, and He is able to do everything.  He is the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and the Most Beneficent.”   http://www.islam-guide.com/ch3-2.htm

Muslim’s believe all the patriarchs were faithful worshippers of Allah, including Jesus, but “God is not Jesus, and Jesus is not God.”

Quoting the prophetic words of the Messiah, the Koran says, “Children of Israel, worship God, my Lord and your Lord”,  and “Whoever associates partners in worship with God, then God has forbidden Paradise for him, and his home is the Fire (Hell).  For the wrongdoers, there will be no helpers.”  Quran. 5:72.  (Koran, Quo’ran, Quran)

The Islamic religion believes in “one, unique, incomparable God, Who has no son nor partner…  He is the true God, and every other deity is false…. No one shares His divinity, nor His attributes.  In the Quran, God describes Himself:   “He is God, the One… He begets not, nor was He begotten, and there is none like Him”.”  Quran 112:1-4.    http://www.islam-guide.com/ch3-2.htm

The muezzin chants:

“La Ilaha illa Allah.   La Ilaha illa Allah.

(There is no Ilah except Allah)

God is most great.  God is most great.

God is most great.  God is most great.

I testify that there is no god except God.

I testify that there is no god except God.

I testify that Mohammad is the messenger of God.

I testify that Mohammad is the messenger of God.

Come to prayer!   Come to prayer!

Come to success (in this life and the Hereafter)!

Come to success!

God is most great.  God is most great.

There is no God except God.

La Ilaha illa Allah.  La Ilaha illa Allah.”
